A reading and book signing. Nationally recognized author, Lesa Cline-Ransome and illustrator James Ransome will read from and discuss their newest book, “Words Set Me Free: The Story of Young Frederick Douglass. The Ransomes, who live in the Hudson Valley, have created a very popular series of books that highlight the lives of well-known and some not-so-well-known African-American champions and others. This book highlights the importance of reading in the life of orator and abolitionist Frederick Douglass.
